It is double sided with 16 chips and does not contain ecc.

memory is definitely worth the extra money. I had two sticks of 256mb
mediocre generic memory in my older pc. I swapped them out for 2 Kingston 256mb
and I was finally able to watch streaming video. Now I dont want to let
go of the old computer.
I tested this chip and it works with no problems.
